The students of Class I put up a mesmerizing Annual Presentation on 15th February at the school foyer, themed “Our Planet, Our Future.” The event aimed to highlight the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable living.
The program commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a warm welcome speech by the young hosts, who expressed their excitement in presenting a meaningful dance-drama. The presence of the Principal, Director, teachers, parents, and distinguished guests added to the significance of the occasion.
The main event was an engaging theatrical performance that beautifully depicted the state of the environment and the urgent need for change. The dance ballet, poetry recitation, and dramatic scenes showcased the consequences of pollution, deforestation, and climate change, reinforcing the message of environmental responsibility.
Students portrayed divine characters from Indian mythology, where rivers and nature deities expressed their distress over human negligence. Through powerful dialogues and enactments, they emphasized the importance of protecting our natural resources. The segment was further enriched with songs and dances like “Na Kato Mujhe Dukhta Hai” and “Earth is My Home”, stirring a deep sense of responsibility among the audience.
A special news segment brought a modern touch to the theme, where young reporters presented alarming facts about climate change, pollution, and environmental degradation. Inspired by young climate activists like Greta Thunberg, the students urged everyone to take small yet significant steps to preserve the planet.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of teachers, parents, support staff, and students in making the presentation a grand success. The Principal and Guest of Honour applauded the children for their exceptional performances and encouraged them to be guardians of the Earth.
With 100% student participation, the event left a lasting impact, instilling values of environmental stewardship in the young minds.
