Literary Day Competition

Fostering Creativity and Love for Literature: Literary Day Competition 2024

To celebrate the love for reading and storytelling, our school organized the Literary Day Competition on Saturday, 30th November 2024, for students from Classes II to V. This event aimed to inspire young minds to explore literature creatively and critically.

Activities and Highlights:

  • Classes II & III:
  •  Students were assigned books based on their grade. Class II read Gulli Box of Things, and Class III explored A Book for Puchku. Using these stories as inspiration, students designed imaginative book covers, displaying their artistic interpretations. The book cover size was half an A4 sheet, providing ample space for creative expression.
  • Classes IV & V:

Students chose a book of their preference and prepared thoughtful book reviews. The reviews reflected their understanding of the author’s perspective and personal insights. On the presentation day, students shared their reflections within a 3-minute time limit, accompanied by the book they reviewed.

  • Language Options:

Participants from Classes IV and V had the choice of presenting their work in either Hindi or English, promoting inclusivity and comfort in expression.

Recognition and Rewards:

One standout entry from each class was recognized. Winners received certificates, “Book Lover” badges, and their achievements will be featured in the upcoming edition of Primary Plus.

This competition was a remarkable success, with students showcasing their literary and creative talents. It was not only a platform for self-expression but also a step towards fostering a lifelong love for books and storytelling.

This report encapsulates the efforts and enthusiasm of our young learners during the Literary Day Competition 2024, emphasizing the importance of literature in shaping critical and creative thinkers.
