The students of Class II presented a dance and drama ballet- “Nurture the Nature” on Friday, 17 February 2023 showcasing the musical talent, theatre expressions and rhythmic movements weaving a cultural extravaganza on stage.
The event was witnessed by the Chief Guest: Mrs. and Mr. Umang Bajaj , Member and an active leader of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). The Guest of Honour: Dr. Mrs. Pawandeep Kaur, Head of Strawberry Kidz, also graced the occasion and motivated the confidence of the participants along with the reverberating echoes of the supporting parents.
The school Headmistress Ms. Sonia Wadhwa along with staff members felicitated the guests and welcomed the audiences.
The program commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony by the esteemed guest and students to seek good wishes and invoke blessings of the Almighty to make the event a success. Thereafter, School Head Boy, Riaan Narula and Head Girl, Diya Vashisht presented the Annual Report to give a glimpse of the academic year at Salwan Junior School.
The drama presented by students of class II left the audience spellbound. The dance drama presented by the students was a call which requested the audience to take care of the environment for sustainable future. The choir left the audience enthralled with their melodious and soulful performance with the song ‘Mission Paani’ and ‘Earth is my home’ and conveyed the message to save our lovely planet and precious resources given by the almighty.
The performance of the students not only conveyed the message to sow the seeds of sustainable future but also ensured that the generations to come can live a peaceful life on our mother earth. This mindful lesson, was infused with various dance forms and rhythmic beats to present an infusion of dance and drama.
