AIP Session-Mandala Art Workshop

“Knowledge is power, information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, and in every family.”

We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere. One such experience of this contentment was witnessed in the premises of SJS, N where our school alumna of batch 2015-16 came to the school and took a workshop on Mandala Art of Classes IV and V. Ms. Vanshika Banga, who used to be a front runner in dance and art classes, took over the stage as a resource person on Wednesday, 23rd August 2023 and shared her experience of coming back to her alma mater after years.

Ms. Banga will be starting her Graduation in Architecture as her dream, whilst pursuing her creative passion of an artist through her creations of making mandalas on boards, using key chains, fridge magnets and so on.

Her passion initiated at the time of the pandemic, along with pursuing her schooling. The days of the lockdown turned her hobby into her dream and finally channelising the dream into reality by creating wondrous pieces of art and selling her work pan India. She also has her Instagram page where she showcases her art.

Ms. Banga showed her inspired dot art to the audiences while narrating her experiences and her passion to the little ones. She guided the participants on how to begin with the art work, how to use the tools, which is the correct tool to use for which dot and so on. Her experience as a growing artist was evident with her clear instructions and her perseverance art work.

The Salwanians were mesmerised seeing her showcased pieces and even had questions on the same. This open house session after the workshop was inspiring to witness, as the current students were trying to learn and grasp on the lessons of hard work, dedication, perseverance and following one’s dreams.

The Alumni Interaction Session, #AIP proved to be a stupendous endeavour to bring the past and the present together by bridging the gap with learning a new skill, drawing inspiration from each other as we at SJS, N believe in staying attached to the roots for drawing strength and resilience with your character. The participants were over joyed after learning the skill of putting the dots together, thereby creating a masterpiece of their hard work and requested for more such sessions.
