Idhar Ek Main Hoon

The students of Class V presented a dance drama ballet- “Idhar Ek Main Hoon” on Saturday, 3rd December 2022 showcasing the musical talent, theatre tricks and rhythmic movements weaving a cultural extravaganza on stage.

The event was witnessed by the Chief Guest, Shri Yuvraj Malik, Director National Book Trust, Ministry of Education, Government of India along with Ms. Dakshita Kapoor, an alumnus of Salwan school who is presently working in Reckitt and had represented India at the 1st sustainability Summit in Berlin Germany was our Guest of Honor along with the reverberating echoes of the supporting parents.

Sh. Arvind Saluja, Captain (Indian Navy) Retd. Hon’ble Director SJS, Naraina along with the Headmistress Ms. Sonia Wadhwa felicitated the guests and welcomed the audiences.

The program commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony by the esteemed guest and students to seek good wishes and invoke blessings from the Almighty to make the event a success. Thereafter, School Head Boy, Riaan Narula and Head Girl Diya Vashisht presented the Annual Report to give a glimpse of the academic year at Salwan Junior School.

The School Choir left the audience enthralled with their melodious and soulful performance of the song ‘puraane din, puraane pal’ which took everyone down the memory lane and rejuvenated our energies by remembering the cherished moments that we actually lived and experienced in the past and took inspiration to become a better human being.

The ballet represented the hopes and aspirations of the parents which they set high on their children. Whereas the children, in their own free willed and fun world are not privy to the hardships faced by the parents, in providing the children the bets of the lifestyles and necessities. This mindful lesson of life, was infused with classical dance forms and rhythmic folk beats to present an infusion of dance and drama.
