“The art of practicing yoga helps in controlling an individual’s mind, body and soul”
Partnership between parents and school plays a crucial role in a child’s development. A positive parent-teacher relationship helps your child feel good about school and be successful in school. It demonstrates to your child that they can trust their teacher, because you do. A strong, positive relationship between school and home can be a great motivating factor for students. A schoolhome partnership should address the particular needs of a community and provide appropriate support that students need to succeed.
So, keeping this in mind, a session was conducted on 12th Jan 2022 which was aimed to bring the parents and teachers together by relaxing their minds and soul as it is the need of the hour in today’s stressful life. Yoga offers flexibility to the body and relaxation to the mind.
The session began with chanting of Om Shanti Mantra for generating energy. Firstly, some rejuvenating breathing exercises like Bhastrika Asana were done followed by neck rotation exercises, then Skand Shakti asana was taught in which shoulder movement in clockwise and anticlockwise position was done. The session continued with some standing asanas like tree pose, triangle pose, Katichakra asana. Then, a few more asanas like Vajraasan, Happy baby pose, Setuband asana and bhujang asana were done.
The different asanas taught today have different benefits on mind and body. Yoga is designed to sharpen our mind and to improve our overall intelligence power. Regular practice of yoga can help in controlling our emotions and promote well-being.
Yoga improves the quality of our life; the students were motivated to practice these asanas regularly and incorporate them in their life.
The session was very interactive and fruitful and the students enjoyed and showed active participation throughout the session.
