Students of Grade 3 and 4 were introduced to the world of Physical Computing
using BBC Microbit. They used the open source platform Makecode Microbit to
code the chip. The students were thrilled to see the outcome of their code on
the chip. They could relate it to the impact of a software on Hardware.
The introduction of physical computing tinkered their minds to explore more
about sensors, use of event blocks and try AI domains like voice commands,
image detection etc.
The students were assigned group projects. The team discussed the algorithm
and converted the same to code and then took it to the implementation stage.
