Children’s Day Celebration 2021

“Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of our nation and the citizens of tomorrow.”

-Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru

We were all children once. We all share the desire for the wellbeing of our children, which has always been and will continue to be the most universally cherished aspiration of humankind.” A day marking childhood- Children’s day celebrations focus on children and their enjoyment. The day is celebrated to pay tribute to the legendary freedom fighter, popularly known as ‘Chacha Nehru’. The occasion is celebrated every year with grand splendour and fiesta at Salwan Junior School, Naraina. On Friday, 12th November 2021, a Special Assembly was conducted for children with an endearing presentation by the teachers.

The Children’s Day celebration began with a light-hearted assembly dedicated to the students by their teachers. An introduction about Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru set off the proceedings followed by a power packed performance by the teachers, which included the singing and dancing. Various performances for the students exhibited their teacher’s love and affection for them. Students cheered for their teachers as they saw them performing for them. The excitement doubled with immense joy, enthusiasm and magnificence as it was time to PARTY for the children. It was a fun- filled day for the students as they danced to peppy numbers and were engaged in amazing activities like bake a brownie, freeze dance, rose making, nutritious ladu making, mathematical tambola, who is who quiz, mask making etc. The campus (offline & online) was buzzing with excitement and joy as it was a day wherein fun and frolic dominated.

Our Children’s Day celebrations would have been incomplete without the inevitable presence of our proud partners. So, the celebrations came to an end with some wise words from the parents which enabled our “little ones” to cherish the “little joys” around them.

We have to admit that “Childhood is a collection of life’s most precious moments.” Be it playing infinitely with our friends or listening to stories from our grandparents and falling asleep like there’s no trouble in the world. Childhood is indeed one of the golden periods of every one’s lives and we, the teachers and the proud parents aimed to let our children cherish, enjoy and treasure each and every beautiful moment.
