Diwali Celebration 2021

‘Let us move from untruth to truth and from darkness to light.’

It is amazing how festivals bring people together. Diwali, the festival of lights, that enlightens the hearts and brings joy to every heart was virtually celebrated at Salwan Junior School on 2nd November, 2021. Decorated in vibrant hues, the school had an ambience of joy and happiness. The young students proved that creativity and talent do not have boundaries. To mark the occasion, an online assembly was organised on 2nd November, 2021 by the students of Class V. The cultural program started with a prayer at 8.30am in all the classes. The students talked about the significance of the festival – how good always conquered evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Besides sensitizing students about the ill-effects of crackers, they also shared the guidelines of environment-friendly options for celebrating Diwali. Celebrations also included Diwali activities like Toran Making, Rangoli Making, Diya decoration, sweets for Diwali through fireless cooking and cleanliness drive.Wonderful presentation of the assembly by the students instilled a sense of victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair.
