To commemorate the first foundation stone laid eight decades ago, Salwan Education Trust celebrated 82nd Founder’s Day on December 5th 2023. Salwan Junior School, Naraina also celebrated the auspicious day with Hawan Ceremony to bless the school and its stakeholders.
Amidst the august gathering of management, parents, MC members, and student community, together everyone reminisced the work of the Founder Father- Pandit Girdhari Lal Salwan, by commencing with paying homage to Pandit ji, followed by peaceful rendition by the School Choir. This progressed further with dance number which unified the thought of God is one. It set the tone of the day and Hawan ceremony was initiated with participation of everyone in the school.
The ceremony was broadcasted live for the parent community who could not attend it physically, but was in full attendance virtually and participated in invoking the blessings of the Almighty.
The vision and mission of “Service Before Self” echoed throughout the premises of the school. The soulful chants filled the ambience with positivity and growth mindset here in the school premises. Students of classes III-V visited Gurdwara Sahib nearby school to take the blessings of the Almighty. The students participated in shabad chanting and had langar as well. The children had a wonderful experience of enjoying the pious day with cherished blessings.
The day was concluded with prasad distribution and giving away of seed bomb to every guest and students, as the school also celebrated World Soil Day. Every seed bomb was prepared by the students of senior classes, infused with a seed in it. Children were encouraged to go home and plant that seed in their pot and take care of it, living the motto of the school- Service Before Self, by taking care of the plant by every child.
