Investiture Ceremony – 2022

‘Students of today are the torch bearers of tomorrow.’

The most auspicious ceremonial occasion of the school, Investiture Ceremony was celebrated today on Saturday,06th August 2022, with full zeal, zest and enthusiasm. The Investiture Ceremony is one of the momentous occasions when the school entrusts hope, faith and the mantle of responsibility to the newly appointed school cabinet. This ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school bestows in its Council Members.

The ceremony commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by our honourable Director – Captain Arvind Saluja (Retired from Indian Navy) and our Parent Representative Mr. Annu Juneja along with a couple of students. The school choir won the hearts of everyone present with their soulful rendition – ‘Ae Watan! Watan Mere Aabaad Rahe Tu’.

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. This spirit of leadership was reiterated by Vice Head Boy, A. Rehaan, who in his speech talked about the unforgettable generosity of not only the leaders of yester years but also the young brave hearts of recent times.

A small depiction showcasing the dedication and contribution of Indian Armed Forces by the Junior Salwaninans from Classes II – V was appreciated by one and all. The little performers from Class II enacted and danced to the steps of a lyrical presentation on the song ‘Teri mitti mein mil jaawan’, highlighting the sense of duty and pride that true leaders exemplify.

The School Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl along with School Sports Captain, Cultural Captain, Eco Captain, Head Marshall and House Captains, Vice – Captains and Prefects were conferred with badges, sashes and flags of the four houses – Gandhi, Nehru, Tagore and Vivekanand by honourable Director Sir, Respected Anuradha Ma’am and the House In – charges – Ms. Payal, Ms. Gunjan, Ms. Tajinder and Ms. Geeta respectively.

 

 

The Oath taking ceremony was led by School Head Girl – Diya Vashisht and all the members of newly formed Student Council took the pledge to hold the school motto of Service Before Self in high esteem, dispense their duties to the best of their abilities and abide by the rules and regulations of the school. Looking resplendent in their uniforms, each council member took the oath. The pride and sense of dedication in their voices was palpable.

The zeal of the council was reflected in their confidence and dedication to execute their work. The ceremony concluded with the School Song – Hum Hain Salwanian.

Honourable Director addressed the students to be impartial and honest in leadership, unity, discipline and morality. He congratulated the parents and the meritorious students. He lauded the students for their sheer hard work and dedication.

Ma’am Mathur reminded the young council members that they are the torch bearers of all the values that the school stands for and urged them to take responsibility with commitment and integrity. In her address, Ma’am reiterated that student council posts were about responsibility and authority. She guided them to be worthy role models for their peers by being exemplary in their disposition and demeanour. She thanked the parents for their constant support and positive feedback.

The event ended on a note of positivity and happiness, wherein the students expressed their gratitude to the school and promised to carry out their duties with integrity, faith and excellence. The school environs reverberated with the sparkling smiles of students, parents and teachers that were captured by the camera clicks for the memorable moments to be cherished forever!
