On the auspicious occasion of Raksha bandhan, the girls from Salwan Junior School, Naraina kept the tradition, by tying the holy thread around the wrist of neighbourhood police officials including the SHO, inspectors and constables at Naraina Vihar Police station. The festival symbolizes ‘Raksha’ which means protection and ‘Bandhan’ which means bond. This bond of protection was further strengthened as the officials were overwhelmed with the loving gesture and reciprocated with a token of love for all the girls who tied the sacred thread. As the festival is a synonym of a sweet bond, to cherish the same sweets were also offered by the little girls. The girls wished for the welfare of the police officials who are always there to provide a secure environment at all times.
