Renowned author Shri Amar Chandel, known for his self-help books such as “Stress to Serenity” and “Perfect Health in Twenty Weeks,” delivered an enlightening presentation titled “Holistic Healing: The Key to Health, Harmony, and Happiness” on Friday, February 9th, 2024, at Janak Juneja Hall, Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar. Five students and two teachers from our school were fortunate to attend the event.
Mr. Chandel commenced his discourse by highlighting the crucial role of the digestive system in overall well-being. He emphasized the importance of mindful eating habits, stating the proverb “eat your food as your medicine or else you’ll have to eat medicine as your food.”
His central message revolved around the idea that holistic health encompasses physical, mental, and emotional well-being. He encouraged regular exercise, suggesting at least 10 minutes of activity twice a day to induce breathlessness. Mr. Chandel directly addressed the students, advising them to prioritize early mornings over late-night study sessions to enhance productivity and vitality.
Additionally, the speaker stressed the importance of avoiding a sedentary lifestyle, advocating for daily physical activity to maintain bodily health. He also highlighted the significance of mental relaxation and nurturing positive relationships for mental peace.
Referring to traditional wisdom, Shri Amar Chandel urged students to respect and learn from their elders, particularly grandmothers, who often possess invaluable knowledge and experience. His closing advice emphasized moderation in diet and vigor in physical activity, encapsulating the essence of holistic health.
The interactive session concluded with a Q&A segment, allowing students to engage with the author and seek clarification on various aspects of holistic healing. One of our students also had the opportunity to pose a question to the esteemed author.
